Epiphany 2008

January 6th is Epiphany - one of the most popular feasts in Bulgaria. It's the name day for everyone who is named Yordan, Yordanka, Bozhidar, Bozhidara and so on.

On this day, a priest throws a cross in a river, lake or in the sea and young men try to catch it. Whoever manages to get the cross will be healthy throughout the whole year.
